Intestinal Plication for Intestinal Obstruction due to Adhesion

Abstract
|
|
|
Clinical review was made on 16 patients of intestinal obstruction due to adhesion to whom intestinal plication was peformed for the purpose of its prevention at Paik Foundation Hospital for last 3 years.
Total plication of the small intestine was performed for 10 patients, and partial one for 6 patients.
We modified the original Noble´s technique of plication.
There was no mortality, and even not a single patient was recurred among 12 patients who have been followed up for 6 months to 3 years.
